Regenerating Australia screening and discussion
A free screening of short film Regenerating Australia followed by presentations from local environmental champions

A free screening of short film Regenerating Australia followed by presentations from Wellington environmental leaders. Attendees will have the opportunity to check out the new Nakunbalook Environmental and Cultural Education Centre ahead of the community open day on Saturday 20 August.

Regenerating Australia is a 17-minute short film set on New Year's Eve of December 2029, as a news anchor ends the nightly bulletin with a look back at the decade 'that could be’ - “a decade that saw Australia transition to a fairer, cleaner, more community focused economy”.

Following the screening, Gippsland Climate Change Network CEO Darren McCubbin will chair a discussion panel. Presentations will be from Wellington Shire Council Open Space Planner Liam Cole about the Greening Wellington project, Gippsland Climate Change Network Project Manager (Community Energy) Esther Lloyd on community energy, and Loulou Gebbie, the Natural Capital Manager for EcoGipps who undertakes private land conservation work to restore and connect landscapes, allowing the free movement of plants and animals locally.
