An emerging health practice, forest therapy involves gentle walking in the outdoors that has recognised health benefits such as lower heart rate and blood pressure, better immune system, reduced cortisol levels, sharper focus and better sleep patterns. The 1.5 hour walk will be gentle and appropriate for primary school aged children, but participants are encouraged to wear enclosed walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing and to bring a water bottle.
