This engaging, talk will explore a fascinating period of horticulture in Victoria and the alignment between the development of the gardens at Burnley Campus and that of Gippsland premier public gardens - Sale Botanic Gardens, and also uncovers a Gippsland connection: Burnley’s director Alex Jessep-later Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria-was a Maffra local.
