Sale Botanic Gardens are one of Gippsland’s most loved public spaces, and a special asset for the Sale community. Set across five hectares on the edge of Lake Guthridge, the Gardens are home to thousands of plant species and more than 500 trees.
Visitors can enjoy shady lawns, magnificent Red Gums that were here long before colonisation, a beautiful grove of elm trees, and 10 Living Collections featuring indigenous, native and exotic plants. The Gardens also play an important role in protecting rare and threatened species, supporting research and education, and improving the health and wellbeing of our community.
We want to hear from you. Your ideas, memories and feedback will help shape the future of the Sale Botanic Gardens and highlight what makes them such a treasured destination. We encourage everyone to have their say and be part of the Gardens’ next chapter.
